ABOUT ME 
Hi,
my name is Leslie. I have been working on this web site for over 11 years. At first it was mostly about wrestling but I have added a lot of lighthouse stuff. I have been watching wrestling since about 1979. The first wrestling I remember watching on TV was an AWA program. The only match I can remember had Greg Gagne and Steve Olsonoski against a couple of jobbers whose names I don't even remember. I am sure you can guess who won anyway. The first live matches I ever went to were in San Antonio, TX, on April 1982. The main event was Ric Flair vs Kerry Von Erich. Kerry won by a DQ. Since then I have been to about 250 house shows. I like alot of wrestlers but my all time favorites is Bret Hart and Roddy Piper. I love to chat on the internet and most of the time I am on a video chat program Called ISPQ. I also use MSN and Yahoo Messenger.
My other interests in addition to lighthouses are camping and traveling. I also love dolphins and killer whales. I like to camp by the ocean, but living in Austin, TX, I don't get much of an opportunity to do so. My favorite places to go camping are the Oregon coast and Cape Hatteras, North Carolina. Both of which happen to have a lot of lighthouses. I have no idea why I like them so much, I just always have. I collect anything having to do with them. Lighthouses in North America are disappearing fast due to neglect, vandalism, and erosion, as was the case of the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse in North Carolina, until it's recent move to safer ground. While they are no longer needed like they used to be, they are an important link to the past and should be preserved as historical landmarks. That is what the Lighthouse Preservation is doing. So I will only say one more thing about it. Save the lighthouses! :)

Last Chance for Hatteras Light
Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, the tallest brick lighthouse in the United States, was facing
destruction due to the rapidly eroding coastline. Protective measures to reduce the rate of
beach erosion in front of the lighthouse provided only temporary respites, while the ocean
continued to get closer. Congress eventually approved funds for relocating the lighthouse,
and the 2900 foot move to a safer sight began in June 1999. On July 9th, 1999, the Cape
Hatteras Lighthouse finally reached it's new home, safely away from the eroding shoreline.
While the lighthouse suffered very little damage
from Hurricane Dennis, the relighting ceremony which was set for September 4th,
1999 had to be postponed while the island recovered. At sundown
on Saturday, November 13th, 1999 the relighting ceremony finally took place as the
Cape Hatteras Lighthouse once again flashed it's familiar and welcoming light.

This
is my favorite lighthouse, it is on the central Oregon coast
The Heceta head lighthouse is 12 miles
north of Florence, Oregon, near the Devil's Elbow State Park, which is
located in the Suislaw National Forest. It is 56 feet tall and is
205 feet above the ocean. It was first illuminated in 1894 and the
light can be seen 21 miles from land.

Owen Hart lost his life on May 23rd during the "Over the Edge" PPV when his ring entrance turned tragic and he fell from the rafters into the ring, apparently hitting his head on a turnbuckle. He was a very popular wrestler and will always be remembered.
BRIAN PILLMAN
1961-1997
Brian Pillman, wrestling's loosecannon, died on Sunday, October 5th, 1997. He was one of my favorites and will be greatly missed by all.
