From the Dragon's Mouth
Barry Town v Newtown
13th March, 1999, League of Wales.
WELCOME
Good afternoon, and welcome to Jenner Park for today's League of Wales match between Barry Town A.F.C.and Newtown AFC. On behalf of everyone at the club, I would like to extend greetings to everyone at today's match, but especially to the players, officials and supporters of Newtown. We hope that you enjoy your time in Barry, and that we all see an entertaining match this afternoon, as is usual in games between our two clubs.
CROESO
Croeso i Barc Jenner a'r gem bwysig yn y Gynghrair Genedlaethol. Ar ran pawb yn y dref, hoffwn i estyn croeso cynnes i'r chwaraewyr, swyddogion a chefnogwyr ein ymwelwyr heddiw, Clwb Pel-Droed Drenewydd. Mwynhewch y gem, ac yn cael siwrnai ddiogel adref heno.
REARRANGED
It seems a bit odd to meet Newtown twice in three weeks in the League of Wales, but the reason for it lies with the wonderful Welsh weather, which caused the cancellation of our fixtured match last October, as well as the Gilbert League Cup game against Inter Cabletel last week.
Unfortunately, neither of our two sides are in today's Welsh Cup Fifth Round, which has allowed us to play the match.
At present, there is no date for the Gilbert Cup semi-final with Inter.

COMING UP!
Our next match is this coming Tuesday, when we entertain Merthyr Tydfil in the F.A.W Premier Cup quarter-final here at Jenner Park. Please remember that the game kicks off at the earlier than usual time of 7:15p.m., so do make sure that you get here early to take your seat.
Next Saturday, we are away in the League of Wales, visiting Holywell Town. This will be our visit to Halkyn Road since a goalless draw in September 1996. See the Supporters' Club Travel Notes for more information on travel.
The following Saturday, 27th March, we are back here at Jenner Park, with Rhyl being the visitors in a League of Wales match.
Please keep your eyes out for announcements regarding rearranged fixtures.
Enjoy today's match,
the Yellow Dragon.
