GILBERT CUP FINAL - THREE IN A ROW?

Following last week’s tremendous victory over Inter Cabletel in the Gilbert League of Wales Cup semi-final, we find ourselves in a third successive Gilbert Cup final.

Our opponents will be Caernarfon Town, who scored their winner over Bangor City in the third minute of injury time last Wednesday evening.

F.A.W PREMIER CUP SEMI-FINALS

After our narrow victory over Merthyr Tydfil we entertain Inter Cabletel in today’s match, with the second leg being played at Inter’s Cardiff Athletic Stadium next Tuesday evening.

Inter reached this round of the competition after winning Group C and then defeating Cwmbran Town 4-0 in the quarter-final.

The other semi-final is between Wrexham and Cardiff City, with the first leg taking place next Tuesday night.

LADIES WELSH CUP FINAL

The Barry Town Ladies defend their Welsh Cup against Newport Strikers next Sunday, in the Welsh Cup final. Barry beat Bangor to win the trophy last year, and are favourites to retain the Cup.

COMING UP

This Saturday sees Barry travel to Aberystwyth for the final League of Wales fixture of the season. Although we have already won the title, the result of Saturday’s game may decide whether Aberystwyth’s European aspirations will be fulfilled.

Following that is our match in Cardiff next Tuesday, 27th April, the Gilbert Cup final (date and venue to be confirmed, check the local press for details) and, hopefully, the FAW Premier Cup final on Sunday, May 23rd.

Enjoy tonight’s match, the Yellow Dragon.
