WELCOME Good Evening, and welcome to Jenner Park for tonight’s F.A.W Premier Cup semi-final, first leg match between Barry Town and Inter Cabletel AFC. On behalf of everyone at the club, I would like to extend warm greetings to everyone at today’s match, but especially to the players, officials and supporters of Inter Cabletel. We hope that you enjoy your short stay in Barry, have a safe journey home and that we see an entertaining match of football today, as is usual between our two sides.
Our opponents will be Caernarfon Town, who scored their winner over Bangor City in the third minute of injury time last Wednesday evening.
Inter reached this round of the competition after winning Group C and then defeating Cwmbran Town 4-0 in the quarter-final.
The other semi-final is between Wrexham and Cardiff City, with the first leg taking place next Tuesday night.
Following that is our match in Cardiff next Tuesday, 27th April, the Gilbert Cup final (date and venue to be confirmed, check the local press for details) and, hopefully, the FAW Premier Cup final on Sunday, May 23rd.
Enjoy tonight’s match, the Yellow Dragon.
