Barry: Dempsey 88' Att: 374 Referee: Phil Southall (Port Talbot)Barry took control of this game as early as the second minute, but by the end of the game, T.N.S had conceivably done enough to earn a point.
The Dragons took the lead in the second minute. A ball from Danny Carter down the left saw Mark Dempsey in space and his low cross was met by Eifion Williams, who beat Andy Mulliner to the ball and gently placed it in the back of the T.N.S net.
Total Network Solutions fought their way back into the game after that disappointing start, and both Ken McKenna and Damien Currier found themselves on target only for Dave Wells to make fine saves from both players.
The Dragons went two-nil ahead in the 64th minute. A diagonal cross-field ball from Gary Lloyd saw Eifion Williams beat the T.N.S offside trap and knock the ball over the head of the advancing Mulliner and into the net.
However, Total Network Solutions deserved a goal, and they got one in the 81st minute. A cross from the right found its way across the Barry penalty area and with his back to goal, Ken McKenna managed to twist around and hit the ball into the bottom corner of Dave Wells' goal, McKenna's first goal against Barry since October 1994.
As T.N.S pushed up to search for an equaliser, they left gaps in defence, and Barry counter-attacked with venom. Eifion Williams again found himself in space, but having lost control of the ball under pressure, it fell to Justin Perry who hit narrowly wide.
Mark Dempsey could also have added to Barry's lead, having a thirty yard run before seeing his shot strike the post and go out of play.
Nevertheless, T.N.S kept fighting, and had the majority of play in an unpredictable second half. They had the opportunities to take a point off Barry, with former Barry player, Darren Ryan, going close on several occasions. However, Barry held out for a good 2-1 win and all three points.
