MAESTEG PARK ATHLETIC 2 BARRY TOWN 1
Perhaps the lowest level to which Barry have sunk in decades, 160 people were at Maesteg to witness the home club's first League of Wales win of the season, and that under the management of former Barry physio, Craig Gill. Andrew Webber opened the scoring. Unfortunately, it was in the wrong goal, and saw the LoW's bottom club, Maesteg, playing down the slope at Tudor Park and 1-0 ahead after 20 minutes. When Dai Withers equalised soon after the break, it looked as if the home side would fade and that Barry would take all three points. It happened otherwise, with the home team sensing blood. When Tony Phillips was felled in the Barry penalty area, he dusted himself down and took the penalty himself, scoring in the78th minute and sealing victory for Maesteg.

BARRY TOWN 3 FLINT TOWN UNITED 1
Prior to the match, Barry keeper, Mark Ovendale, received an award for his record breaking 1062 minutes without conceding a League of Wales goal. In true tradition of irony, Barry were a goal down after 9 minutes, with Steve Jones putting the ball between Ovendale's legs. Flint had already beaten Barry 5-1 earlier in the season, and were serious title challengers. Barry, however, rose to the occasion, with former Cardiff City player, Tony Bird, making his debut in yellow. He was the hero of the day, scoring Barry's first and third goal, with Willie Batchelor finding the net early in the second half to give Barry a n unassailable 3-1 lead in the match, and a lead at the top of the League of Wales table.

BARRY TOWN 3 CWMBRAN TOWN 0
Hot on the heels of a 7-1 demolition of Ton Pentre, Barry fans hoped that the goals would continue while playing another set of local rivals. The first half, though, was goalless, as the two midfields stamped their influence upon the game. It was only late on that Barry were able to break down the dominant Cwmbran defence. The pace of former Connah's Quay player, Dave O'Gorman, was the key, and it was he who scored the opening goal for the Dragons. With an entrance to the ground left open, his celebrations were added to by the introduction of his canine nickname, who ran onto the pitch in pursuit of the ball to the great amusement of the crowd. Chris Pike, now at Cwmbran, scored Barry's seond goal, before Darren Ryan made it a relatively convincing victory over the Crows.

BARRY TOWN 6 ABERYSTWYTH TOWN 1
Barry cruised to victory over a mid-table Aberystwyth last season. Danny
Carter's contribution was the most important, with the central midfielder
scoring his first hat-trick since arriving at Jenner Park. He opened the
scoring himself, with a goal after 13 minutes. Carter then made it 2-0 eight
minutes later, and keeping it that way until half-time.
A revival looked on the cards for Aber, when Ryan Nicholls scored after 48
minutes, but no sooner had the Black and Greens finished their celebrating
than it was Carter's turn, as he completed his hat-trick after 50 minutes.
It became 4-1 ten minutes later, when Darren Ryan scored on the hour, and
Eifion Williams got in on the act with a 71st minute goal. Aber's Jenner
Park horror story ended with a penalty in the 77th minute, which Chris Pike
converted to make the final score 6-1 to Barry.
