- Erika-Leigh says her favorite competitions were, "Commonwealth Games, and 1998 Corbeil-Essonnes." Erika said "I had never been in such a big event as the Commonwealth Games, and I had one of the best competitions of my life! Generally, it was a wonderful experience to represent Canada -- unlike any comparable feeling. I also liked the 1998 Corbeil-Essonnes because I placed 12th. I felt like I broke through some of the european dominance... and that's what I'm working towards."
