When I was little, I always was amazed by gymnastics. I took lessons throughout my life, but I never really became obsessed with gymnastics until the Atlanta Olympics. I was in Atlanta when the "Magnificent Seven" won the gold medal. Two days later I watched Lilia become the all around champion. I felt the magic and I was hooked. I wanted to start gymnastics seriously again. I had never seen the competitive side of the sport. I had always been a competitive person, but there was something about competitive gymnastics that caught my eye.
That was five years ago. I am a completely different person now than I was then. I have learned a lot about life through this sport. This year I graduated high school and will have to leave the sport of gymnastics behind. This site is a web site about what gymnastics is really all about. It is what I have learned in the past few years and how gymnastics has changed my life.

“I do it because it’s simple and spartan, and for one rare moment I can be quiet, without a thought in my head. I lose the internal noise. I do it to get my heart beating, to sweat, and to feel my body burn calories and ugly fat. I do it as adventure and challenge, as politics against fumes and crowds and noise. I do it because it helps me understand joy. I do it because with every step, for one brief second, I’m flying…If we were not meant to fly, God would have given us roots”
Life Holds Unlimited Potential
and Wonderful Dreams
You have the ability to attain whatever you seek;
within you is every potential you can imagine.
Always aim higher than you believe you can reach.
So often, you'll discover that when your talents
are set free by your imagination,
you can achieve any goal.
If people offer their help or wisdom as you go through life,
accept it gratefully.
You can learn much from those who have gone before you.
But never be afraid or hesitant to step off the accepted path
and head off in your own direction
if your heart tells you that it's the right way for you.
Always believe that you will ultimately succeed at whatever you do,
and never forget the value of persistence, discipline, and determination.
You are meant to be whatever you dream
of becoming.
