Assorted ammo types, scary isn't it. No neat sub-groupings here, there all just slammed into the mix. It's kill or be killed, survival of the fittest. This is no place for mere mortals.

# 1 The BALLZOOKA ®

It's raining balls.

Fallen from glory, out of service for good.

Once a weapon of choice, this familiar weapon used to play a part in most, if not all, wars. However, times have changed, leaving this poor old girl alone and in the dark. Few warriors dare to sport a Ballzooka any more. This weapon was always attractive due to its 15 ball ammo load, fast firing rate, and manual power. Unfortunately its tragic use of balls rather than darts has outdated the beauty a bit. The Ballzooka is a gattling gun using the firer's power. It is dependable and killer in a close range war. It's balls richochet, and even if you don't count ball bounces as a hit they are a great agent of confusion. However, the weapon's power really isn't much to speak of unless the user is on steroids, and the accuracy suffers just because it uses balls.

The only reason I would ever use this weapon is for a close range multiple hit-point war. Don't get me wrong, I have always loved this thing, but it just isn't practicle anymore. Balls just don't cut it against even semi-compitant enemies. The weapon was awesome in its day, but is now retired indeffinately. It's the best ball gun in my oppinion, however that really doesn't say much, seeing as all ball weapons are rather out of date.

# 2 The Master Blaster ®

He he he, you must be kidding.

Target Pracitce, so pin that thing up on the wall.

This thing us one of the originals, a old fasion ball shooter, just after the Blast-a-Ball, this thing was in the same ranks as the Bow and Arrow and the Sharp Shooter, unfortunately this is know as more of a piece of shit than a classic. This thing was basically a two barrel Blast-a-Ball, so it was better than that I guess but it simply couldn't cut it with anything else. It's power was minimal even for a manual weapon, and it had no accuracy. It had a good ammo count, 8 or so, and it could fire them at a pretty good rait, the real problem was that is rarely fire them at all. It's jam factor was substantial, and maybe it was just because I wsa so young when it came out, but I recall this thing being impossible to fire the first shot out of either barrel (4 went in each). It was devastating at the time because it simply had ammo up to wazoo for the time. However the Ballzoka quickly outdated the thing and became the turning point for High ammo weapons.

This thing would deffinately be an up-close assault weapon if I ever was to uwse it, simply because it doesn't have the range for anything else. If you really want a ball weapon see if you can get your hands on a used Ballzooka (they no longer make them), or better yet Nerf just came out with a new Ball weapon, I don't know how it is because at the point when I wrote this it hadn't arrived in stores yet, it's called the Pulsator. So this thing would fil a gap but not very well.

A sniper has to first survive to kill at all.

HA I HIT YOU, can you throw that missle back now?

This little package is accurate as hell. This is truly a good sniper weapon, it doesn't have the rang of the Larami weapons but what does (don't say Vortex). Of course this is a puny single shot weapon and by this point you should know how I feel about single shot weapons. The major hinderence here is that the damn thing uses Missles (miniature arrows) and nothing else anybody I knows does. This is trully the lost ammo tpye (lat, no point in that abreviation I just like it), an the weapon being a single shot weapon, you are truly screwed once you fire once, unless you're willing to retrieve it. Really even that aside this just isn't a usefull weapon since you can get multishot weapons that are just as accurate and more powerfull.

This is deffinately a gun for snipers, but I think it leaves them a little too defensive. A lot of people I know think a Nerf sniper should get an accurate weapon and nothing else, ya' see I think they still need defense and if you can provide that and an accurate weapon (hint hint 2500) why not? this simply does not provide any back up and while being a good sniper weapon does not have practical use in a war.

# 4 The Slingshot ®

Oviously Nerf didn't aprove of profits at this point in time.

You can either use the Slingshot or Spam. Ya' got a Slingshot, ya' got Spam.
I think I'll go with the latter choice Bob.

The Slingshot is the absolute worst weapon Nerf has ever created. This thing was shot by pulling a rubber band back and trying to hit a Nerf ball in the Ammo case thingie. It took practuce even to fire the damn thing, and it had a max distance of about 2 feet, ok maybe 3. This thing was one of their first weapons, but that is no excuse for this piece of scrap plastic. Personnaly I don't think it was ever intended as a weapon, but sadly enough Nerf advertised it that way, so it shall always be remembered as the worst foam weapon of all time. No range, an amo load of three balls that rarely fire, and nothing to its advantage make this the choice of absolute losers everywhere.

There is no use for this weapon, it is the worst there is, so any attempt at using it can only end in embarrasment and failure. If you ever see this weapon be sure to hit it very hard with any heavy blunt object you can find. That is my advice for maximum efficiencey.

# 5 The Spit Fire ®

A breed apart, it has no real competition.

NO FAIR, I say ever 20th one counts.

This is a different type of gun completely, in fact my Toys 'R' Us has it with the Board games (It is made by Milton Bradly). Have you ever seen those disc shooters? Well they fire little foam discs about 1.5" to 2" and labout .25 cm thick with a small hole in the middle. Well this one has a motor. MWU HU HAHA ELECTRICITY!!!!!! Normally it's a slow weak automatic gun, SO PUT IN A 9V WHERE THE DOUBLE A'S SHOULD BE, MWU HU HAHA!!!!!!!!! I'm talking 20 shots in 4 seconds, no exageration. Sure it still doesn't have much power but who cares, you can sweep an entire room in 4 seconds!!! Of course this mod can cause the motor to burn out, so don't try it if you don't want to waist ten bucks cause it very well might happen, but usually it doesn't break it just slows down, and it's still the fastest Gun you've ever used.

This is a sweet raid weapon, the best their is. The only reason it's not in my active pool is because I have partially burned the motor out and I don't wanna kill it any further. This is really more of an outdoor weapon, because even though it has low range, it ends close combat wars way too quick.

# 6 The SUPER MAX 500 ®

Power : check, Accuracy: check, Reasons for Retirement: Super Max 700

Uhhhh....hmm....I'll have to get back to this one.

The Super Max 500 is one of the several Larami guns that have not been revived in the Nerf SuperMaxx line. This is a classic hangun with great power and accuracy. I'd probably dubthis the best handgun if it wasn't for the 700, which is more powerfull and smaller. Of course this is a fairly small gun which probably would be better for holstering then the 700 due to it being more traditionally shaped. As for it's power, I'd say a bit weaker than the 700 but stronger than the Lock N Load, if you can't get your hands on a 700 (then likely you won't be able to get thi either) than this is your next best bet. It really is a good handgun.

In a war this can be used a sniper weapon, after all it is Larami, but you'd probab;y be smarter to stick to a 1500 or 2500 for that. This is a small pistol that will traditionally fill that role nicely, it can be stuck in your pocket because of its relative slimness (not if you where tight pants, I'm talking any type of military style pants, or relatively baggy shorts), and it works well as a hold out, with the adition of enough power to act as a second attack weapon if you have another one handed weapon. This is a very useful handgun that I like a lot, I'd just rather a 700.

Ammo fired per shot: 1

# 7 The SUPER MAX 1000 ®
Hee hee...it come with Packaging Material.

That was no bee.

Damn-it Kahlahan!

Ahhh, the 1000. Don't get in the way when someone fires this thing. It fires farther than any other weapon, other than the Ultimator and Vortex, but those don't quite count. The 1000 fires fast and hard. With it's long barrel the accuracy is superb. However, it is unlike the 2500 in one main way. While the 2500 is a very loose and comfortable weapon, this is extremely tight. At first that is a good thing, but turns into blisters or a soar finger about half way through a battle. You might be thinking, who cares, that isn't that important, besides, he's probably a wimp. It won't hurt me. My "tough" friend once thought that, but he changed his mind quickly after being raded twice, and not returning fire because it just wasn't worth the pain. OK, that's a bit of an exageration, but not much.

I use this weapon because of its extreme power, six dart ammo load, and precision. This weapon kicks, and has just recently returned to Toys'R'Us. I use this as a sniper weapon because of its great accuracy and power. I would not use it in a war that might take a while, but other wise, it's great. It looks like a huge revolver with its pump directly under the 8 inch long barrel. It is the weapon to get if you cannot find the 2500.

#8 The NERF SUPER MAX 1500 ®

Power, and Acuracy are it's trademarks.

It really isn't that good, It'll just hit anything in site.

This weapon is often seen as a smaller cheaper 2500 and that just isn't true. This gun displays slightly more power and a lot more accuracy, it's a sniper's weapon without a doubt. The down-side to this gun is that it only stores four darts, next to the 2500's eight and has to be manually indexed (the berrels don't rotate when you pump, you have to do it yourself. However I really don't think this gun should be stacked up against the 2500 because in my humble, ominiscient, opinion they are differnt types of weapons.

The truth is I never Really Liked this thing, but it has recentlybegun to grow on me. I usually like to pack my 2500 for sniping and asault but recently I've begun to use the 1500 for my sniping. It probably won't stay in my active arsenal for very long, but for now it's my sniper weapon. I am not a sniper, as I hope you've guessed from my weapon pool described above. I'm a raider and ambusher, and a damn good one, so the 1500 is actually quite impractical for me, however I like it's accuracy and power, and other than that I really have no valid excuse for using the thing.

# 9 The Vortex Tornado ®

A sniper's dream come true......unless you go outside.

That's gotta be at least 50 feet awa..OW!!!

Well this is an odd company to enter the Foam Arms race, that's right Koosh ® makes this thing, and a great entry it is from this newcomer to the sport. This gun fires rubber rings at you on end (they look like an ampty circle when being fired at you). These discs fly OVER 70 FEET!!!!!!! The distance can only be matched by the Ultimator, and the accuracy is superb. This is a monster ofa sniper weapon. Of course it's a single shot weapon and takes a bitto reload as most good sniper weapons, so I don't like it that much, but I do recognize it as the most accurate gun you can get, until you take it outside. The wind blows these discs off target far more easily than a dart. One major discrepency about this weapon is the speed at which the discs fly. Many people claim that they fly much slower than a Nerf dart, and are easy to dodge. That simply is not true. If you fire the gun it does always seem as if the disc is moving at an incredibly slow speed, that's an illusion. If you let someone fire it across your plane of sight you'll see that the discs actually move at a very fast speed, they fire no slower than a dart out of the average Nerf weapon, and they are not easy to dodge because they always appear as a circle when they're flying towards you and it's very difficult to judge their distance, especially beforethay have timeto hit you.

Well what can I say the only thing this weapon could be used as effectively it the field it dominates, Sniping. Simple as that. Give this thing to the surest shot on your team and let him pick off your opponents all day long. It has the power and accuracy that make it an exxcellent sniper weapon as long as you don't use it outside on a windy day.

Vortex Tornado ®

# 10 The Ultimator ®

Appropriately the ULTIMATE in POWER!!!!!

"Lock up your wives and children"

The Ultimator quite truly is the most powerful foam weapon there is on the market, and it is deffinately one of the most fun for the same reason. So what's the problem, why isn't this in my active pool?? Well it's quite honestly the ammo. This weapon, as you can probably see in the picture above, fires these football (the picture may be decieving the weapon is extremaly large, the largest I have at over 3 feet long) size hollow arrow thingies called "Ballistas". These fire extremely far, but very slow, and inaccurate after about a week when their fins get bent, oh yeah and they don't really hurt (that's is a plus, believe me). Another problem is you have to.....pump...crank...I don't know what to call it, but there's a black handle on the top you have to bend up and release about 12 times, loading time dies here. So while a barrel of fun this gun serves no purpose realistically. Of course this all can be remedied with a completely exterior (the gun doesn't have to be taken apart) modification to allow it to fire Nerf or Larami darts further than any other gun there is!!!!!!!!!! It'll be available at a later tim.......HA, you have to check back, you have to check back.....I'm done.

As it stands this gun is useless in wars aside form intimidation factor and knocking down any flimsy bases. Of course with my mod that is all changed ant it is the ultimate sniper weapon MWA HAHAHA!!!!!......you can't have it yet, bugger off.

Ultimator ® (unmodified...HA HA HA HA)

Power: 8
Distance: 10
Accuracy: 5
Ammo load: 1 (well there's a 1 dart holder as well)
Ammo fired per shot: 1

Special ability: 4 usefullness, 9 fun
