OLIVER BIERHOFF

Veteran striker making his World Cup debut.  Bierhoff is among the favourite for this years' Golden Shoe award after just finishing as the top scorer in the Italian league, the toughest in the world, with 27 goals.  Bierhoff has now replaced Klinsmann as Germany's main scoring threat.  A strong, sturdy center-forward, he is powerfully built and his physical strength provides great threat to opposing defences.
