We had great participation from kitefliers at our Canada Day event this year. I apologize that we hadn't picked up a supply of water for people on such a hot blustery day, thanks for sticking it out in the hot conditions. |
| We raffled off some prizes for the day's event that incuded prizes donated by Alison Smith, Kerry St. Dennis and the Wind Climbers. |  ">Arlene and Dennis Ische do the twist!! |

As a wrap up to our year long Kite Extravaganza contest there were some interesting statistics. Everyone who was a member of the club started off with one ticket for an idividual and two tickets toward the prize draw for a family membership. |
| Adding to that, there were a total of ten events that qualified for points and that included one event from each area club that we support to encourage members to participate in other club's events. |  ">Yup,... Ed hummel flys stunt kites too! |

To attend all the events takes dedication as well as the time and costs involved in travelling around to some of the distant places. A family membership with attendance at all events would earn 22 raffle tickets for the draw. |
| Just because there were some people that earned a lot of chances to win the extravaganza prize, it's still the luck of the draw and a lot of tickets might not mean anything in the end. |  Ziggy Racek "best dressed" |

To show our appreciation the Wind Climbers awarded cash prizes to the top three members with the highest event attendance. Special highlights on Ziggy & Dianne Racek for taking part in every event followed by Dennis Ische and family and Kerry St. Dennis and family for making 9 events. They were closely followed by many attending 7 and 8 events. |

So, the the winners of the Wind Climbers Great Kite Extravaganza are Frank and Donna O'Neil! Congratulations, we'll be in touch to see what type of prize you would like from our long list of possibilities......now where did that list go??? I think I left it beside the note to "bring water to the Canada Day
