Hometown:Million Dollar Dream
Comments:
The wrestling boxer with all those short jabs. Float like a butterfly, sting like a….. butterfly. Basically Virgil’s most technical wrestling moves were a headlock and hooking someone’s leg during a pin, and that happened maybe three times. His tights didn’t help much either. What was with the little decorations around the top of his boots? Looked like something off the top of a windshield on a 1979 Cadillac. He also showed everyone his amazing creativity when after be at ringside for all of Ted's matches, after he broke off he took Ted's finisher. Wait a go Virg.
Career Highlights:
Worked as The Million Dollar Man’s bodyguard for around three years. I dunno, Ted must have either needed glasses or was drunk off his ass when he hired Virgil as a bodyguard. At the 1991 Royal Rumble he attacked Ted Dibiase with the Million Dollar championship belt after a tag team match and decided to start wrestling. the only problem was, all he ever did was box. You would think after standing around ringside for three years looking stupid, he would have picked up something. He would just do a little shuffle, throw a few punches, land a big right hand… then get the crap beat out of him. He did manage to win the Million Dollar championship belt at SummerSlam 1991, but lost it right back to Ted about two months later when Repo Man got involved. Virgil was pretty forgettable for the next couple months. But then leading into WrestleMania 8, Sid was beating on a wrestler he had already defeated, and Virgil came down to help him out. Sid grabbed Virgil and slammed his head into the turnbuckle, and broke Virgil’s nose. Ok, lets think about this. Millions, of wrestlers have had their heads slammed into the turnbuckles, usually ten times in a row. But Virgil is slammed into it once, and his nose is broken? Then at WrestleMania 8, Virgil got the winning pin for his team in a eight man elimination match. It was a big, and last PPV victory for Virgil. After that Nailz beat him at SummerSlam 1992, and then at Survivor Series 1992 Yokozuna beat him. I had to rewind the tape to catch his match with Yokozuna because I blinked the first time and missed the entire thing. He did manage to beat Bastion Booger during Bastion’s WWF debut, but Bastion beat Virgil like it was a PPV match the next week. His final WWF appearance was at the 1994 Royal Rumble, when he lasted about twenty seconds before Diesel through him back out. It said a lot about how much offence Virgil usually gets off during a match when Vince got excited after Virgil landed two punches on Diesel.
