Clippers To Rebuild...
Under appiontment of new Suncoast Clippers head coach/court captain Marcus Bellchambers a new breed of Clippers look to set sail. After capping off a record breaking season with a championship last year, the rebuilding lull has fallen upon the Clippers. All-Star import Vern Roberteau who led the Clippers from 1994-96 has returned to sustain the firepower from downtown Clippers fans have become accustommed to. Ex-Brisbane Bullet and Brewers stalwart Bruce Hamilton has signed with the Clippers maintaing the depth of the frontcourt, which will remain one of the toughest in the league. As well as these crucial signings optimistic discussion continues with Clipper 6th man Daniel Robinson, Ex-Perth Wildcat, Jason Harrison, and Brisbane Brewers shotblocking sensation David Cooper.
Clippers Win Historic National Title
The Suncoast Clippers on the 20th of September, beat the Cairns Marlins 80-78 in the Skilled National CBA Grand Final. This historic win, is one that will remembered by the league as it is the frist from Queensland.
