Anime Quality
The Fist of the North Star (the movie) is quite a production when it first came out in Japan during the early 80's. The animation and artwork was considered quite sophisticated back then. However, compared to the current japanese anime, the ratings have gone down. The storyline is based on Darwin's principle, "the strongest and the fittest will survive". Yet, it is most likely that the gorry blood scenes attract the viewers. A lot of fist actions going on in this movie. There is one semi-nude scene in this whole movie.

Synopsis
In a post-apocalyptic world, Kenshiro and a few remaining people wishes to revive the devastated world. Kenshiro, known as the fist of the north star, was nearly killed by his jealous brothers because of his title. However, after a few years, Kenshiro comes back to settle his vengeance against his own brothers. Primarily because his girlfriend was taken from him. During his journey to find his ultimate enemy, his eldest brother Raul, he encountes both friends and foes. The fighting techniques are very unique. The punches of the north star causes the body parts of the victim to explode (very well illustrated). This is a must-see for martial art fans!
