Anime Quality
The picture quality of Ninja Scroll, compared to many anime movies, proved to be quite superior. The animation was very smooth while each picture retains the beautiful artwork. The storyline of Ninja Scroll, unlike many other anime movies, keeps up with the artwork quality. The background and music also synchronizes with the storyline as the plot thickens. This movie, however, is reserved for a mature audience because of the violence and nudity portrayed. The blood and gore is actively shown throughout the animation. While sex is not fully expressed through the artwork, it is strongly implied with a few nude scenes of the ninja girl and other women.

Synopsis
When an odd disease infected a small town in Japan killing everyone, the nearby towns' people fled from their homes to avoid death. Kagero, a ninja, went to investigate this odd phenomenom with a group of ninja warriors, she discovered another mystery. A monster, who had the ability to turn his skin into rock, destroyed the whole team of ninjas except for Kagero. Later, Jubei, a mysterious warrior encountered Kagero by saving her from the rock monster. Together, along with a queer government spy named Dakuwan, Jubei and Kagero battle the eight demons of Kimon (the rock monster being one of them). Each demon possessed a special and unique ability of killing. Ninja Scroll is excellent for fans who are into martial arts and sword fighting.
