Ireland
From Killarney's misty lakes
To Wexford's Irish shore,
To Galway's wind-swept bay
To the Isle of Inishmore.
In dreams and fancy I return
And once again I see
A friendly land I've learned to love
'Twill ever beckon me.
Wicklow's hills and vales so green
Tugs ever at my heart.
And the lovely Isle of Inisfree
Sets the Erin Isle apart.
The sun is bright o'er Donegal
Her lofty hills I see,
And a thatched-roof cottage small
Is nestled by the lea.
A turf fire in a cabin
Bids me "bide and rest.
Sheep grazing in the meadow
Bring scenes I love the best.
In memory I will ever go
To that land across the sea,
For when I left its friendly shore
I left a part of me.
