I bow my head and pray, O Lord,
With hands worn rough by toil,
That you will ever guide my plow,
Help cultivate my soil.
 

Please send the sunshine and the rain
And bless the seeds I sow,
And give me strength from day to day
That I may make them grow.
 

Watch over my livestock and my barn,
Each shed and every tree,
Protect them from the wind and storm
I pray, O Lord, of Thee.
 

And bless my house and family
My neighbor's home as well.
Under each roof and in each heart
Let love and friendship dwell.
