Growing Older |
I've found this to be very true, As older I grow. The more I live in the past, In those years of long ago. |
And from those days long past, I can hear a sweet refrain Melancholy though it be, It had its joys and pain. |
I've found as older I grow, Life has it's hopes and fears, And those happy smiles we once knew, Are oft times replaced by tears. |
But this I've learned. along life's way, That sunshine follows rain, That restful, happy days can bring Respite from a pain. |
Storm clouds can gather so quickly, Plans can go astray, But I know as I grow older, Sunshine follows a rainy day. |
Bright mornings can always follow, A night that's 'ere so dark, And a rainbow can follow rain, And shine in a lovely arc. |
So as I grow older in years, I've learned to take what may, At leas I'm growing older now. so hip-hip-hip hoo-ray. |
