Writing  A  Poem

Writing a poem cost so little,
Not even one thin dime---,
Just look with-in your heart
For love-words that will rhyme.

Could be about some friendly folks
Or a friend you've come to love.
Could be about that little church
Or blessings from above.

Could be about your garden
Or little birds that sing,
Or cricket's call at eventide,
Just about any thing.

Could be about the country-side,
It's so big and so wide,
Could be about those mountains,
Or the ocean's roaring tide.

Could be about that little boy,
Or about that little girl,
Or about some pleasures you have known
Just give your mind a whirl.

Could be about your Mom and Dad
Grandma, and Grandpa too,
Or about your loving pet
Any love-thought will do.

Writing a poem costs so little,
Just a portion of your time.
Just look with-in your heart,
You'll find words to rhyme.

Writing a poem need not be long
Might only take a minute.
Simply look with-in your heart
And just write what's in it.

Could be about a little rose,
Kissed by a drop of rain.
Could be about just wht you see,
Through you window pane.
