"Aunt Poodie" became my best friend, next to
"Mommy," of course. The nice man, Dave, & the
lady, Vikki, had to leave to go to Spokane. Vikki
told my "Mommy" that it would be best if I stayed there.
My Mommy was overjoyed! Me, too!!! I was where
I belonged with Mommy, Daddy, Aunt Susan & Auntie
Poodie. Now I could relax. Sighhhhhh...
Life was good & I was VERY happy.
All of a sudden it was what humans call,
"Thanksgiving." Oh my, the wonderful smells
that were in the house! They made me drool!
Everybody shared their dinner with me! Yummmmmm!
That was the first time I had turkey, but not
the last. It's my very favorite food. I had some
every day, until it was gone. There would be more,
though. I also found that I like asparagus tips. :)
Next thing I knew, my humans were doing some very
strange things. They were putting "winky lights"
all up & down the bannister. And on trees outside.
There was shiny tinsel garland that wiggled. FUN!!!
Then.....oh MY! They put up a great big tree
in the living room. Daddy put LOTS of little winky
lights all over it. Then some tinsel garland. Oh,
it was SO PRETTY!!! I LOVED IT!
Then Mommy got out a whole bunch of little wooden
ornaments & hung them on the branches of the tree.
They dangled & wiggled & moved in any little breeze.
FUN! FUN!! FUN!!!!!
Daddy tied the tree to the ceiling & walls. I wonder
why? Oh, I had such a good time. I batted at the
little wooden ornaments & ran up the tree. I played
Hide & Seek with Mommy & Daddy. FUN! FUN!! FUN!!!!!
Then Aunt Susan & Auntie Poodie decided to wrap a
present for Daddy. They rattled the pretty paper &
used ribbon for a beautiful bow. Of course, I helped!
I got scotch tape on my paws & tail.
Why was everybody laughing? There were a whole bunch
of pretty gifts under the Christmas tree. Do you know
that paper tears easily? Oh, Christmastime is WONDERFUL!
Mommy & Daddy wouldn't let me chew on the light cords.
Auntie Poodie told me about someone named, "Santa Paws."
She told me if I was very, very good,
"Santa Paws" would bring me some kitty toys & goodies.
Oh, I shall be the best kitty EVER!
Next thing I knew, it was Christmas morning.
Oh, what FUN! There were ribbons & Christmas paper
all over the place! I jumped on the paper & went
skidding across the living room floor.
I "helped" everybody with their ribbons & bows.
Oh, yes. I have been a VERY good kitty!
What are those? They're little balls with butterflies
in them that spin when the ball rolls. For ME??????
A soft cuddly mouse & a "jingle ball" & a new dish.
I like the dish. It is in the shape of a kitty.
There were kitty & doggie treats for both Aunt Poodie
and me. Oh, Christmas is WONDERFUL! FUN! FUN! FUN!!!
