Items Needed:
Any size Styrofoam drinking cup or Dixie cups, for smaller bells
Spray paint in Green, Red, Gold, and Silver colors*TIP: Aluminum Foil over the bigger cups make a very pretty bell, also!
Any red and/or green ribbon, or yarn will do, as well
Red or Green Pom Poms, no bigger than a 1/2 inch :) Silver and/or Gold Glitter and small paper clipsDirections:
IF SPRAY PAINTING BELL:
- Get some old newspaper and spread it out in a well ventilated room, preferrably, out doors--he he he
Take and lay your cups out upside down and spray paint them colors you want and let dry
IF USING ALUMINUM FOIL:
Take the Aluminum and shape it to fit your larger cups, so that it will over lap the edges so you can turn the foil under the cup edge to inside of your cup
**OPTION: You can roll up small balls of foil to make bell clappers--take a chunk of foil and put one end of your ribbon/yarn in it to roll it into the clapper to hang it being careful not to roll your ribbon/yarn into the ball :)
Take a pencil or scissors and carefully put a small hole in the top of each bell
Take your ribbon/yarn and make 2 loops out of them, tying the ends together
*TIP: Be sure to adjust the length of your yarn or ribbon to fit the size of your bell
Take a small paper clip and bend it open to make a big "S" shape out of it
Put the paper clip thru the small hole in the top and tie 1 of your ribbons/yarn to the top part of the paper clip
Take your 2nd ribbon/yarn and glue or tie the Pom Pom on the very end and tie it to the other end of the paper clip so it hangs out the bottom a little bit--not too, far, tho :)
You can put a little water in your glue and paint it here and there on the bells and sprinkle the Glitter on it to make it sparkly
