I live at and am very proud of Sapphire Weyr!

You walk into the darkly lited hall. Everything is old and smoothed from turns of use. You shove your hands in your pockets and keep walking. There has to be an end to this hall somewhere, you think. Up ahead of you, about three dragon lenghts, you see a dull light streaming out of the crack of a door. You walk faster to reach the light and stop infront of the door to examine it. It's beautifully crafted, the wood carved andstained from turns of use. You open the door and step inside, happy to be out of the dark hall. As you shut the door behind you, something grips your arm. Horrified, you yell andturn around. A young woman, about 19 stands behind you, laughing uncontrollably. She steps into the light, showing her long brown hair that curls like the tail of a firelizard. "I'm so sorry traveller, I didn't mean to scare you! I was just trying to warn you about the dirty weyr. Are you ok? You look like you're about to have a heartattack!" she laghs and motions for you to go in.

She lifts the edge of her skirt to keep it from getting dirty on the dusky floors. She looks about normal height to you, maybe a bit short. She wipes off an empty chair and offers it to you before doing the same for her chair and sitting down. "Well traveller, this old weyr certainly needs a good cleaning. I'm sorry it's so messy now. Would you like to know anything about me?" she asks, her hazel eyes dancing. Before you can answer, a bright green firelizard swoops in and lands on her should.

She chitters at you and stares long and hard into your eyes. You know no one can outstare dragonkind, so you look back at the young woman. "This little tease is Saramay. She's a bit brighter than most greens, but I like that about her. Oh my, I haven't introduced myself, have I? I am pretty forgetful sometimes. My name's Teedia. I'm waiting here to see if I can become a candidate at Istabitha's Weyr. I hope I do, I've loved dragons since the day I first saw a dragon. Oh goodness! I'm so forgetful! I forgot I told the weyrwoman I'd help her settle in another candidate. I'm sorry traveller, I need to go. But do feel free to look over my things. Good bye traveller!" she yells and rushes off.
