Retainers are required for individual and group consultations. Our Design Services Evolve Through Three Major Steps:
We provide consulting services to assist our clients in deciding if it is feasible to pursue a building-integrated photovoltaics (BI-PV) system for their home or business site. In this process, we will prepare a Site Profile. We examine the site and prepare a site plan outlining the characteristics that may benefit or challenge a BI-PV system to determine the feasibility for a specific site. We will provide a preliminary Balance of System cost estimate for a BI-PV project suggesting the components to be included in the system. Where incentive programs are available, we will provide our clients with a draft application for local and state incentives their system may be elgible for including the 50% Buydown Program for distributed renewable energy projects offered in California.
We provide full-charge design services and architectural consulting for the consumer who is interested in purchasing a BI-PV System. We will use the Site Profile to evaluate the electricity needs and the ideal BI-PV system for our client's specific site characteristics combined with their unique needs and taste. This is the stage where we specify products and provide exact pricing for your system. An official Buydown Program application will be prepared and submitted to the California Energy Commission or other program where applicable.
We also provide industry consulting for those interested in developing large-scale projects, who may be wanting to offer BI-PV design services for their clients or may be planning to open their own business in the BI-PV industry.
In consultation with our client, we serve as a liason to product distributors or manufacturers, we develop a project management plan, advise our clients on the atributes to seek as they organize a team of installation and engineering contractors for BI-PV projects, we assist with product ordering and a coordinate a comprehensive project completion schedule. This schedule may include a long-term monitoring and maintenance program. In many cases, we may actually coordinate the project management and installation services for our clients. We serve our clients in assuring they get the best products for their needs with cooperative and timely facilitation of grid-connection and net-metering with their local utility.

Consumer education and design coordination represent the majority of our work in the new building-integrated photovoltaics [BI-PV] industry. Retainers are required during our initial consultation to provide us the opportunity to fully assess your specific project needs.
