Destruction
He stands alone on a craggy rise
And looks toward the morning sky
Already filled with poisonous fumes
As the smoked filled chimney pauses, then resumes
He walks the bushland, sight unseen
And listens to the machinery, tall, dark and mean
The sinister sound of the Redwoods coming down
He stands still, upon his face a deep frown
He wonders when then madness will cease
When will the world finally live in peace
When will the companies stop calling it construction?
The government, when will they see the destruction?
Will it take forever and a day?
Until the people finally see it his way
To be respectful of all God's creatures
And treasure this land and all it's features
Stop ripping trees and forests down
Repent, regenerate, refresh and renew
Because our children
Need this land too!
