Life Story: Ever since until she was 9, Julia had the perfect life. Perfect, loving parents, a perfect preppy school, a perfect boyfriend, a perfect beginning to a perfect career. But all that changed when her dad lost his job to his best friend. Being forced to move to Pennsylvania was hard, until she met her neighbor, Katrina, who worshipped Julia. Forcing herself to dance, to make her life better, she found comfort in the arms of Darren Hunter, her dancing partner. But in the arms of Samuel Parkenson, did she find love. He cared for her unlike anybody else. He cried when she cried, and he felt her pain. Believing they were soulmates, they both promised each other that when they grow up, they'll marry and be happy. Be happy. Happiness and joy was denied them from when they were young. Julia finally started living towards her dream. Her dream to be a ballerina and to be forever with Sammy. And finally, happiness seemed to come her way. But once again, this time for good, something came inbetween her heart and the road to joy. Even though she didn't tell anybody but a few of the close friends, she knew inside that she was dying . . .
When I was 13, I discovered that I was diagnosed with cancer. So far, the doctors have said that a surgery might save my life. And I'm waiting for that surgery. I'm expected to undergo the operation September 25th, 2000. Just 5 days before my birthday.
If I do survive, I'll be forever changed. For one thing, I'd be a lot weaker, and would need a wheelchair for quite some time. No more dancing for me! I'm still pretty optimistic. I never really looked towards the dark. I don't think I ever have. And I hope that helps me overcome cancer.
Sunflowers represent the sun, shining down, and giving love. But all I feel is the sting of the rays.
