Celebrating Our First Year of Marriage!
We celebrated our one year anniversary with a trip to
Japan
and
South Korea. We
visited Tokyo, Kyoto, and Nara in Japan, and Seoul in
South Korea. Highlights included the Tsukiji Fish
Market, amazingly fresh sushi, the Imperial Palace,
beautiful architecture everywhere, outdoor night
markets, temple flea markets, touring the Demilitarized
Zone and of course, ample opportunity to eat.
The locals were very friendly and willing to help us out
even though not many spoke English well. As you will see
through our photos, we loved trying all the authentic
foods and walking the streets to see first-hand what
life is like there. Japanese temples make great use of
natural elements such as water, wood, stone, and fire.
We also noticed how clean, but crowded streets, trains
and subways are in Japan, but navigating was easy. |
Peru Mission
Trip
~ October 17-25,
2003 ~
With
Global Missions Fellowship, Jennifer served in the overseas mission field
for the first time. The team of 24 was led by Mike Jorgensen and traveled
to Cuzco,Peru to train
local churches to evangelize and disciple their neighbors and plant
start-up churches. Originally planning to work in the country of Bolivia,
they found out that God had other plans for them and those plans turned
out to be better than anyone could've ever imagined. He worked in Cuzco
that week as over 500 people came to know Him and thousands more seeds
were planted. |

Yosemite
In September of 2003, we traveled to San Jose, CA to visit
Amanda, Napa and Sonoma Valleys, and Gee relatives in the Bay Area.
We also saw God's splendor at Yosemite National Park with Amanda and our
friend, Je Tsou. As you'll see the views were truly amazing. It
seemed like we were in another world! |

Our Small
Group
We meet with
our small group weekly to discuss different topics, bible passages, and to
encourage one another. It just happened that we're all Longhorns and
love to eat!
Last November,
we had a
Small Group Retreat in
Fredericksburg. We spent the weekend at our own private B&B cabin and
made an early Thanksgiving meal complete with tons of
leftovers! |
