Physical mutation. From birth Lukas has had the appearence of what some would call a demon. A human looking face save for pointed ears and fangs. His eyes a solid oily black color. Also to his form are a set of powerful dense wings and a strong sharp ended tail.
Following the next stage of evolution in feral mutation, Lukas has an incredible healing factor that will heal virtually any wound that doesn't kill him, in a matter of minutes. As a result, Lukas only feels pain while his injuries are healing.
Inherited from his father is power of kinetic energy. In Lukas case the energy is generated from his hands and projected in beams of varying intesity, carrying with them incredible concussive power, and charging the molcules of whatever it hits to cause and explosion.
When the current Phoenix finally killed Apocalypse Lukas went back through time to kill the Phoenix before he was born.
A mix up landed him in the wrong country, but again among the X-Men, a piece of future technology allowed him to take on a human appearence and keep his mind cloaked from telepathy. While in New York Lukas came to fall in love with, oddly enough, the first human he ever killed, the young X-Man in traning, Zoey Emerson.
When the time came to make his move though, he tried, though his commitment to Apocalypse had slipped and he haulted his attack, resolving to spend what time he had left with Zoey before he'd be pulled back into his time. Dancing with her on a rooftop is where he left her.
Several months later, Zoey is a member of the Excalibur team, and once more Lukas was being controlled to kill her.
The events played out as no one could have forseen, and a mysterious hole in time just before the Decimation, has left Lukas with massive holes in his memory, now believing himself Lukas Gray, small music store owner and frontman to the local band Vessel.
