ASSESSMENT PROCESSES
Assessment is an essential aspect of teaching. The purposes and methods of assessing students are varied. I believe, used properly, assessment becomes a valuable diagnostic, learning, and teaching tool. It allows students, parents, and teachers to identify areas that are strong, as well as those that need support. In this way, the curriculum may be adapted to the students when necessary. Varied assessment strategies are a valuable way of acknowledging different intelligences and learning styles.
