Birth Control

Birth control is not really very controversial these days.
Personally I think it ought to be. When my husband and I
were planning to be married we did sit and talk about our
views on birth control. I was hesitant to use it,
especially after I found out how arbitrary most forms are.
The pill for instance can work in any of three ways...either
preventing conception, preventing the fertilized egg from
attaching, OR killing the fetus after attachment. That is
too close to killing something alive for me. Also arent we
taking into our own hands what God has always reserved for
His control? So as a couple we decided not to use things as
the pill, IUD, and other arbitrary methods. To be discreet
I wont go into what our plan is, but I will speak
generally. Friends of mine, well-meaning Im sure, were
discreetly shocked when they found out we would not be using
the pill. These were Christian friends mind you, people who
were supposed to see children as blessings just like we
do. I had the impression that other Christians thought I
was being irresponsible for not controlling how many
children God gave us. I dont believe that Christians ought
to have this attitude, of all people on earth.

Children are blessings from God, not burdens placed upon
us. Some say we ought to wait until we can afford them...we
have found that God provides for children as He gives them.
It is a great step of faith actually, and we have grown
faster as Christians because of this decision.

Let me tell you something else..something about Planned
Parenthood that I hope will shock you. Years ago when PP was
founded the lady who actually founded it made this
comment..."The best thing parents of a large family can do
for their new baby is kill it." I certainly hope that no
Christian has that same viewpoint, and I sincerely doubt
that any do. However, we are taking the rest of that
woman's philosophy hook, line and sinker. God has natural
ways of controlling population, if thats what you are
worried about. Satan has his ways of controlling the
Christian population too though. So lets not take his way,
lets take Gods way!

Lets not let the world slow down the growth of Christian
families!

By the way, we have three beautiful children sent from God
Himself! We would not trade a single one of them of course,
but neither would we get in the way of God's will about the
size of our family. I have also had two miscarriages, God
does know what He is doing. So now my husband and I have 5
children, two of whom are in heaven. May the Lord bless us
on earth as He sees fit. Amen.
