Briskett in the Oven

Recipe

shhhhhh.....please dont tell anyone......

A few people have tried this receipe and sent me some very nice e-mail with their compliments. Go ahead, give it a try!

Ingredients:

  • 5 lb Briskett (A good briskett has at least 1" of fat on one side)
  • 2-T Garlic Powder
  • 2-T Black Pepper
  • 1-T Salt
  • Worcestershire
  • 1-jar creamy itallian salad dressing
  • 1/2 box (about 2 cups) brown sugar
  • 2-T Djion Mustard
  • Lemon juice
  • Mix Garlic Powder, Pepper, Salt, and enough worcestershire to make a paste. Rub on Briskett (all over) then slowly pour the itallian dressing on so you dont wash off any of the paste. Bake uncovered, fat side down, for 4 hours at 250 degrees.

    Mix Brown Sugar, Djion Mustard and enough Lemon juice to make a paste and rub on briskett. Cover tightly with heavy foil paper and bake another hour or two (probably 2), still at 250 degrees.

    The house is gonna smell wonderful....stay out of the kitchen so your not tempted to be peeking.
