(AFC CJ's West Wings Quick Step)

Step is a 6 year old field bred English Springer who was whelped by the Sligar family by their first field champion FC/AFC CJ's Promise of Hope. His sire is FC/AFC K's Surefire Zack. (Who is a littermate to two National Field Champions and has place in a National Amateur himself.) "Step's" pedigree includes several National Champions with a wonderful combination of Saighton, RuChar and Sunrise lines. Step is from a litter of eight and was quite the character. His name was going to be "Blaze", but when he was born, he had three spots on his back, in a row, and was nicknamed him "Three Step". When his parents decided to keep him, their children would not let them change his name, and he officially became "Step". You should see the looks they get from the Judges when they tell them his call name!
