      Quillow Pattern

      Materials and tools needed:

      4 and 1/2 yards fabric

      Quilt block 16 1/2x16 1/2 or

      One cheaters panel for the pillow{optional}

      Matching thread

      batting 45x72 ( a twin batt, 72x90 will make 2 quillows)

      Scissors or Rotory Cutter

      Cutting Mat

      Directions

      Wash and iron your fabric

      Cut a 2 yd piece of your fabric and set it aside{ this will be your backing}

      Cut another piece 1/2 yd or take the cheater's panel and cut a piece of batting 18"x18"

      Use 1/4" seam allowance through out

      Tear fabric into two large pieces 45x72, ( width may vary as fabrics range from 42 to 45 inches wide)

      Pillow:

      Cut cheater panel to 16 1/2 square and also cut a backing 16 1/2 squarefrom lift over fabric. Out right sides todtgether, pin securely to 18" square of batting. Sew on 3 sides, leaving top open. Trim batting and turn. Machine quilt around design of the cheater panel, your pillow is finished.

      Pin pillow ( face down) to the center of one end of one length of fabric, 45x72. Sewing around 3 sides, leaving bottom open.( bottom being the finished edge of the pillow)

      Pin the two lengths of fabric(45x72) together( right sides together), then place over the batting and sew, leaving appx. 18" open on the bottom where the pillow is attached. Turn.

      Close up the opening. Mark and machine quilt.

      Finish by folding into thirds away from the pillow. Fold up twice, turn into majic pillow or pillow case.

      Wasn't that easy?

      Use me as a pillow unless you get cold, then pull my stuffing and gently unfold. I'm a blanket now with space for your feet and when you're all done, fold me back nice and neat.

      These go together fast and easy and there is no limit to what you can do with them.You are only limited by your own imagination. They make wonderful gifts for family and friends for any occasion.
