mugo pineWhen most think of evergreen shrubs they think of green. But now you can get an evergreen with golden tips and blue tips. This will add variety to the look of your landscape. Pictured here is a mugo pine in a healthy green shade. This is the basic color that most think of when they think evergreen.

Juniper gold tip Now we are looking at a juniper gold tip. Notice the gold color on the end of the brances? this is just one varieity of evergreens that have a golden tinge to the foliage. Other golden varieties are the cypress gold mop, which forms a mound of really golden foliage. There is also the juniper gold thread which is green with gold lines through out the plant.

juniper blue starLast of all we go to the blue shrubs. Of course we have heard of the Colorado blue spruce. Now you can add

shrubs to accente your blue spruce. Pictured here is the juniper blue star. This is a favorite for two reasons, of course the color is gorgeous, but the shrub is compact rarely going over the height of two and a half feet. Also look for the blue spruce globe for a slightly larger size. If you are looking for an evergreen ground cover, the creeping, blue rug or blue pacific are both good choices.
