With all the points, reward, and viewbar programs on the web, I decided it was time for them to have their own page on my site. I'm not going to list all of the sites that I find but ones that I've tried or have seen a lot about on the WWW. For each site I list, I will give you my personal opinion of how easy I think the site is and how long it takes to get the rewards you may want.

First I should explain the different types of programs.

Points and Reward programs are basically the same. Basically you earn points to redeem for rewards in a variety of ways. You might have to tour websites, fill out surveys, or buy items to earn points. The points can then by redeemed for rewards such as gift certificates, trips, video games, or whatever other items the site offers. I've rated some of my favorite ones below.

Viewbar programs seem to be everywhere these days. Basically a viewbar is a bar that you download that keeps track of how long you are online and plays ads. You then earn whatever amount-up to the maximum hour usage-for running the viewbar. Keep in mind that most open viewbars will take up about an inch at the bottom or top of your screen so it is impossible to sign up for them all. Many also pay on some kind of extended referral system where you get paid a portion of money for referrals.

Cash for reading e-mails is another type of program on the net. My favorite one of the moment is sendmoreinfo. Basically, the cash for e-mail programs say they will pay you a certain amount of cash for each e-mail they send you.

Please remember to use caution when signing up for any type of pay programs. There are so many on the internet now that it hard to tell which ones are going to live up to their promises. Also, I have found that some sites say they need my social security number before they will let me join. I've always been told to never give out your social security number. You never know what someone will do with it so please think twice before giving it out to anyone. Also, it seems that many of the pay programs are failing or changing their terms. Just remember, just because you sign up with a program and fulfill the terms from your end, that is no guarentee that the program will actually pay out. In the last several months, many large pay companies have bitten the dust leaving those who signed up high and dry. Some pay for a short time and then run out of money. I still think its worth it to sign up because even a short time of free money can be worth the effort.

If you haven't already signed up with PAYPAL,you should. Many pay programs are switching over to Paypal as the way they will pay you. What it is is a free account where you register either a bank account or credit card with. They pay you $5 to register. What it does is allow you to transfer money to someone else with a PayPal account or it allows other people to transfer money to you. YOu then just logon to your account and can have either a check sent to you or the money transferred to a bank account.

If you know of some other program links that you think I should list below, e-mail me and I will check the link out. Keep in mind, I am not responsable for any of the links listed below. If you do sign up for a site I mention and experience problems, let me know so that I can add the information to this page.

Viewbar Programs

All Advantage What AllAdvantage is is a viewbar you download onto your computer that displays advertisements that play while you are online. You get paid 50 cents an hour for running it and 10 cents an hour for up to 4 referrals for a maximum of 25 hours a month. There is alot of viewbar programs but so far I have found this one to be the best. The viewbar is available for immediate download when you sign up and you can close it to run in the taskbar part of your computer..

SpediaI've heard mixed responses about this viewbar program. Some find it confusing and others love it. I think it just all depends how much experience you have using other viewbars. The program has its definate plus's including being able to instantly download the viewbar. Plus you can get paid for reading emails they send out. The viewbar even has an option to hide the viewbar so that it is still running but not on your screen. I had to delete this one off my computer because it kept crashing when the spedia viewbar was running.

Desktop DollarsAnother viewbar program that has taken over as my favorite. Their viewbar runs along the top of your screen and is a little smaller than AllAdvantage. I really like this viewbar program because they will pay you for all your referrals time, even if you don't activily use them. Many other viewbar programs have a set limit that you must use before getting paid for referrals time so be sure to check this one out.

CashSurfersThis one has 2 ways to earn points which are then redeemable for money. You can earn points for visiting sponsors or for using their viewbar. Like AllAdvantage, you need to earn $20 before they mail a check out.

ExtraSalary Some kind of viewbar program. I don't know too much about this one but it seems similiar to the others.

Surfmiles Another viewbar not ready for download yet. Theirs is called a Cashbox.

ClickDoughAnother viewbar program with a twist. This one comes up when you log on and runs along the top of your screen. Nothing to download. Worth trying out. They pay 20 cents per hour.

oneSRC.netAnother viewbar program. This one is another new one that pays for your time plus up to 6 levels of referrals.

It Ads UpAnother new viewbar program that is ready for download.

Jackpot.comHere is another viewbar/points type program that I really like because it is so interactive and easy to use. Basically, you earn spins on a slot machine for your time online. To earn spins, you minimize the slot machine into a viewbar format that runs along the top of your screen. When you want to play some spins, you just push play. You can win points, prizes or money on the slot machine. I must tell you, they have some really nice prizes that you can get with your points so this is one program that I'm saying to give a try. I know I really enjoy it!They also have a web based free slot machine that is great for those who don't have access to a computer where they can download a program. Jackpot recently added a free lotto game and has a Bingo game that was in Beta stage.

Points and Rewards Programs

My PointsMy Points is a great and easy point program to join. Basically all you do is visit some web sites for points or try out some items. They also send e-mails that you can get points for reading. You then can redeem your points for your choice of items they have available including gift certificates and even theme park tickets. So far, I've received more than $200 in Target gift certificates, Blockbuster gift certificates, and even some free labels. My Points is a well established and reputable company that is even traded on the stock market.

E-TourNext to My Points, E-Tour is one of my favorite points site. What you do is log in every day and go to two websites. You only have to be on the website for 8 seconds to get your 20 points. I'm on the site for only about 2 minutes everyday(unless it takes me to a site I like). The points add up very quickly and can be redeemed for gift certificates to your favorite store.

StartSamplingAt this site you earn tryer miles for visiting, trying free samples, reading about a product, and for providing feedback on samples you've received. This is a good site because the free samples come fast and they have a good reputation. Start Sampling has added more ways to earn points such as answering surveys and providing feedback plus they have added more point redemption levels for an all around great site.

FreeRideAnother points program for visiting websites and buying products. This one actually sends you some pre-labeled envelopes to put in receipts and UPC codes from products so that you can earn additional points for products you buy.

All Paid ForThis one is a different type of points program. You visit selected sites to earn points which is then converted to money. They have set up some kind of online debit card which converts your points to money. They've recently re-formatted their site and now it is much easier to use.

FlipsideAt this site you earn which can be redeemed for merchandise or sweepstakes entries. You can also play an unlimited number of their games to rack up easy points. If you say Malaimo762@cs.com referred you, then we will both be entered in their $500 referral drawing.

whatshotnow.com Go check out this site!! Easy points. Basically you earn $Hot points for voting on stuff. The points add up super, duper fast. I was only a member for 3 days and I was able to redeem some of my points for several items and still have more points left over. Large selection of more than 100 theme shops to pick from. Items include video games, shirts, cds, video tapes and collectables. This site is really worth your time. They even give you 500 points on your birthday. You get 100 points for referrals. You get 5 points a day for visiting, 5 points for each one question poll and 10 points for each survey. They have contests that change every couple of weeks too. I won a $500 gift certificate from them and have earned 5 $10 gift certificates from them. Plus they have a lot of nice collectable merchandise to buy.

Points UniverseA site to manage all your points and reward programs. Plus can earn more points from them. Right now when you sign up for the free service, you get a free magazine subscription. They have about 16 to choose from including Womans Day, Elle and Newsweek.

Free Airline MilesThis site is brand new and worth a look! Basically, instead of earning points for surfing the web, checking out other sites, etc.. you earn airline miles! Right now they are contracted with Delta and TWA but say they will be adding more airline soon. They even have the links right there so that if you don't already have a frequent flyer milage number, you can get one in minutes. Earn 5 airline miles for each referral (Please say MAlaimo referred you!) This is a good way to add to your airline miles without spending a penny!

Giant RewardsEarn points for shopping or for visiting websites. They have a DailyRewards prize machine that you play after visiting sites. You could win up to 10,000 points per day. Also get points for reading e-mails and referring family and friends. Easy to use layout.

SilverClicksEarn SilverClicks for shopping and visiting websites. Then redeem for merchandise from their extensive catalog. You want to sign up as a shopper otherwise if you sign up as an affiliate, you have to give out your social security number.

TOMEOAnother kind of point program that recently lauched. Don't know a whole lot about it yet.

GreenpointsRemember greenstamps? Well now there's greenpoints! Earn points by shopping or answering surveys. You can even combine points with family or friends to get a large item like a plane ticket. Earn 3,000 points when you register, another 1,000 for giving your address and another 1,000 for completing 2 surveys. That 5,000 points is enough for 2 free movie tickets!

FirstlookEarn points to use towards gift certificates by rating movies and music. Need realplayer to rate the movies but if you don't have it, they have a link to download it. Really easy points

SearchArrowA new type of search engine where the points are very easy to earn. Redeem "arrow bucks" for gift certificates

MilesourceMilesource is a great program similiar to My Points execpt that you can earn airline miles. Not interested in airline miles, then redeem your miles for gift certificates and merchandise. Can enter several contests to win prizes, surf the web, get free stuff and shop for miles. I really like this site and you get 1000 miles just for signing up!

Read E-mail for Rewards Programs

Total E-MailGet paid to read e-mails in categories you choose. Get 5 cents per e-mail plus a percentage for referrals. Also earn 10 points per the really easy surveys they have. While I've answered several surveys, I've received e-mails that aren't worth very much money for clicking on.

ZupermailI don't know a whole lot about Zupermail other than you earn points for reading e-mails. The points can then be redeemed for rewards. I joined them several months ago but have only received two e-mail from them. They recently redid their site and are starting to offer more point opportunities.

Yo Yo MailA new pay for reading e-mail site. This one has a really easy to use layout and they say you get a free gift for signing up. On this one, you must read the e-mail on their site because it comes like an ad that you click. Really easy to use.

Send More InfoThis is my favorite pay for reading e-mail site. I've received many e-mails from them and getting paid for reading them is simple. Just click on the link at the top of the e-mail and your account gets credited 5 cents for each e-mail. You also earn 2 cents for each e-mail that people you refer send and receive. The money adds up quickly.CashActiveanother pay per e-mail program that isn't live yet.

Other Earn Money Programs
