The Bird Net

by Pam Short

Searching the "net" is as easy as typing in a word for the subject your looking for. There are many large search engines (information seekers) you may use. Not all will supply the same results. For example, using the Web Crawler search engine, 6,259 documents were found containing the word bird and 12,625 documents were found containing the words pet birds. Another search engine called Yahoo, found only 514 matches containing bird and only 37 matches containing pet bird. And still another search engine called Hot Bot found 20,229 matches for pet bird. As you can see the lists can go on and on, and it can change daily as new pages are appearing everyday. A generalized word my be entered as the above example, or you can be more specific as in the breed of bird you are looking for, or type of health or nutrition question you have. More link reviews will be added as we have the time to check out the various sites. For now check out the ones below. If you have any sites you would like to add please email me at pamark@geocities.com.
