It's
amazing to me that you can turn one of these big boats around and head
the other way. That's exactly what we did as we headed down the Muddy
Mississippi toward the Gulf. A few river boats floated by complete
with Dixie-land jazz music playing.
As
we were looking at all the sky-scrapers, what should float by............
but
a barge full of campers. I guess that's one way to float down the
Mississippi River.
Wonder
if it was Bubba and all his relatives?
This
was as close as we got to the French Quarter. Hopefully we can make
a trip back there some day and really do some sight seeing.
This
was our Easter Dinner and YES!!, it's my long lost brother! He and
my sister-in-law did make it on the boat but it seems they had about as
interesting a flight and connections as we did. Little did we know,
we were on different airlines.
Tara
found the Easter Bunny!
I've
never seen her enjoy sitting on his lap as she was this time - - wonder
why?
Later
in the day, we attended the Captain's Dinner.
David
slipped out on the deck in time to get a few shots of our first sunset
out on the water.
Go ahead, peek in our port-hole
for the more of the story!
