sizing:
suitable for newborn
To change the size of these mittens alter the hook size.
To make these mitts to fit a "Preemie" use sportweight yarn.

materials
worsted weight wool (25 gr.)
hook: 3.5 mm Conversion Chart

mitten:
Do not join rounds unless indicated. Mark ends of rnds with marker.

Rnd 1:ch 2, work 5 sc in second ch from hook
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each st around. (10 sts)
Rnd 3: (sc in first st, 2 sc in next st);
*(sc in next st, 2 sc in next st) repeat from *
around. ( 15 sts)
Rnd 4: (sc in first 2 sts , 2 sc in next st);
*(sc in next 2 sts , 2 sc in next st); repeat from
* around. (20 sts)
Rnd 5- 15: sc in each st around.
Rnd 16: *(sc next 2 sts together); repeat from * around.
Join with sl st in first st. (10 sts).
Rnd 17: ch 3 (counts as first hdc +1 ch).
*(hdc in next st, ch 1); repeat from * around.
Join with sl st in top of first hdc.
Rnd 18: work sc in each st and ch-1 sp around.
Join with sl st to first st. (20 sts)
Rnd 19-21: sc in eaach st around. Join with sl st to first st.
Rnd 22: sc in first st, ch 1; *(sc in net st, ch 1)
repeat from * around. Join with sl st to first st.

Fasten off.

Tie
Ch 50. Weave in and out through eyelets in rnd 16.
Tie into bow.

Repeat for second mitten.
