Joining the Basset Hound Ring
In order to joint the Basset Hound Ring, we ask that you please read through the rules listed below. These rules are for the benefit of all. Not only do they make the ring work properly, following them will make visiting the ring a happy experience for everyone.
- The page you join with must have Basset Hound content - pictures, or info related to the Basset Hound. However, we will not get mad if a human, Beagle or even a Calico happens to appear with your hound, or on the site! Afterall, Bassets are part of a family!
- The pages must not contain any obscene, vulgar or offensive graphics or words or references to pornography of any nature.
- Place the Basset Hound Ring banner on the first page pertaining to Basset Hounds.
- Do not "bury" the Basset Hound Ring banner on a page with other web rings or links.
- No commercial pages or advertising, please.
Any site found not conforming to the above Basset Hound Ring rules, will be taken out of the ring immediately at the owners descretion.
Adding Your Site to the Ring
- Save a copy of the two Basset Hound Ring graphics you see below. The one on the left is called bassetring2.gif and the one on the right is called nextone.gif.
[ Right click on the image and select "Save Image as".]
- After submitting your application to join the ring, you will recieve an email with the proper code you will need to insert into your web page in order for the ring to be displayed and work properly.
- Fill out the below form to register your site and write down the Site ID number you are assigned. This will put your page in the Basset Hound Ring 'Queue', where it will remain there until the ringmaster adds you to the ring. This does not insert you in the ring; the actual insertion is done later.
If you have any problems, e-mail bassethound@usa.net
After checking out your page, the ringmaster will take your Site ID Number and use it to add you to the ring. You should then receive an e-mail telling you you've been added.
Once you have been added, you should now be able to navigate the entire ring until you make it back to your own page!.
