Grandma, Take me to the Zoo...Please!

Grandma and Jake had gone to the barnyard to visit the animals many times. They had lots of fun there but now Jake wanted to see some different animals. Jake asked Grandma, "can we go to the zoo...please?!" Grandma thought for a minute and then promised to take him to the zoo next week. "Oh boy oh boy", said Jake.

Jake was so excited about the zoo trip he could hardly wait. When the day finially arrived Jake was ready as soon as Grandma arrived. Grandma buckled him into his car seat and off they went singing their favorite songs all the way to the zoo. "What do you want to see first?", Grandma asked. I would like to see the lions and hear them roar. So off they went to find the lions. They walked up a hill and then they walked down a hill and finially they got to the lion area. And there out in a nice open area was a little baby lion with a great big roar!

Lets continue down the path and visit the monkeys next. "Over there," shouts Jake as he points to a big monkey.

They were a little scary but Grandma held Jake's hand tightly. "I will protect you," Grandma said.

They were having a great time but Jake was getting tired. We have to go home now but we will come back another day and see more animals. Jake smiled at Grandma and took her hand. They got to the car just in time for Jake to nod off to sleep in his carseat.

What a nice outing Grandma was thinking as she drove home.
