My maiden name is Oyler. In years past I have dabbled in tracing my family tree. I hope to add to this page as I begin a serious inquiry into my family history. I find this a very facinating hobby, and yet also very hard. I grew up on Oyler's golfport, a family owned golf course in Whitehall, Michigan built on land that had been the family farm and owned by my family for over 120 years. My ancestor Jacob Oyler bought the land with money he recieved for losing an eye at the Battle of Gettsburg during the civil war. He is buried in the family plot, not 2 miles from the family home.
