This is a wonderful cake. (It does require advance preparations, and it is a little difficult. It was adapted from a Wilton Wedding book.)

The flowers are pansies, daffodils, violets, and (purple) carnations. The top and bottom layer have lily of the valley piped on the side. The middle layer has scroll work (overlapped with purple string work), and small lily of the vally/pansies added in the middle.

This cake was perfect, as it was in early April, when the flowers are just starting to bloom.
