Bogart Chapel U.M.C.

Clicking on the console will start the music.

The original Bogart Chapel was built in 1887 by Milas Rainwater. The church was a poplar log structure with a stick and clay chimney. The log structure was torn down in 1891 when a new building was built on the same site.

This building doubled as a schoolhouse. In 1914, the members of the church built our present structure. We have added indoor plumbing (although we still have an outhouse), electricity, and Sunday School Classrooms. Other that that, the church is much the same as it was then.
This is an exciting time for us at Bogart's Chapel. We have begun groundbreaking! God has provided us with the funds and labor to build a fellowship hall and more classrooms for our church to enable us to better serve our community. Praise The Lord!

Our schedule here is as follows:

Sundays:
Morning Worship 9:45am
Sunday School 11:00am
Night Worship (3rd Sunday of each month resuming in Sept.) 6:30
Wednesdays:
Bible Study 7:00pm

We also have the only food pantry in the area to serve families in need. Through this and our other outreach programs we have been able to help many people facing hard times, all year around. We are priviledged and honored that God has allowed us to be able to provide such a service.

Our church's singings held on the second Saturday of each month are a real treat that you don't want to miss!

In June after school we had an excellent Vacation Bible School. It's safe to say that everyone had a great time. I can't wait to see where God takes us with this ministry next year!
