Page upon page can be filled with answers to those two questions alone. There are tons of internet sites available with information on every known form of Pagans! I could answer those questions in broad sweeping terms that wouldn't really answer the question for some folks, so I'm not even going to try. Instead, I will tell you what being Pagan and Druid means to me. First, I will tell you what I'm not...I'm not a Satan worshiper, I don't sacrifice baby's or drink blood, I don't ride a broom stick (altho, my X husband might disagree with that one)! What I am is a believer in Mother Earth, that Nature is a wonderous, powerful entitiy! I believe all living things are here to share in the bounty and joy of this Earth, not to take and take and take till there's nothing left. I believe everything and everyone has an individual spirit that glows at the very center of their being. That faith is a castalyst of that spirit, no matter what your faith is in. My very essence is in accordance with Nature and Earth Mother. My beliefs are very basic and they are my own! They are simple & practical. I don't follow a specific ritualistic practise.
If my beliefs must have a title or name than it would be somewhere between Druidism and Shamanism. With me, it isn't a learned doctrin of any Religion. It's an inner peace and shine to my Spirit. It's the glorous smells and textures of fresh turned Earth in the Spring, it's the majesty of a towering Oak, it's the magick of watching a tiny seed grow and bloom and produce the best flavored tomato to ever touch your tongue, it's the warmth of the Sun touching my skin, it's physical, emotional, spiritual. This is my Religion. My celebration! I embrace it & claim it as my very own. The more I read, and I read everything I can get my mitts on, the more I find that the way I think and feel are the ways the Ancients thought and felt. There's nothing new here..It's beyond Old. It's Nature and it's natural. And it is Glorious!
