My reasons for suggesting a raised feeder is covered under the section "Bloat" in the Puppy Tracks Newsletters. Mastiffs grow at such an astonishing rate that you can almost watch them grow. I suggest beginning puppy out with a raised dog feeder. But because of their growth rate, the raised feeder they start with will soon be to short. Like their collar, they out grow it far to soon. These adjustable, raised feeder patterns are simple, easy, and inexpensive, to make. But the wonderful thing is, they can grow with your puppy!
Just be certain that the feeder you make will accomandate a bowl large enough to suit a full grown Mastiff!
