my shoulder at the time of need
for caring for me even when I didn't
instead of giving up like I wanted to

for always being here with the good or the bad
not laughing at me when it was something silly
and the things you have shared with me as a friend

to be a good friend to you no matter what
for trusting me enough to stand by me always
never giving up hope with me as I did at times

with your friendship and smiles so many times
for accepting my errors as mistakes without judgement
and setting me straight when you felt it was a need
I want to thank you for helping wipe away my tears
letting me know you will always be here for me
when I was ready to open up with you
for always letting me know there was another side
I want to thank you for sharing your life with me
for trusting me to tell me things in all trust
knowing full well it would never leave my lips
for loving me for who I am not what others want
I want to thank you for being such a true friend
and being the great one that you are to me
as you are one of the best friends one could have
trusting, caring, loving always so honest with all

for being the best friend one could have
your true firendship and kindness is the best
