The silence I hold in my heart
The words I just cannot say
My thoughts saying don't hold back
Then my heart says keep it inside

A true friend I am to you
Here to share and smile
Filling your life with happiness
Letting you know that I really care

I must remember I am your friend
To love to hold and cherish
A friend to listen when you need
One to laugh to make you smile

My heart holds the silence
At times wishing I could open up
Wanting so bad to clear my silence
Not wanting to stay filled with tears

The silence within my heart
As our friendship grows
Remember you will always be with me
I am here for you and will be forever

The silence of my heart will stay deep
Life just does not allow it to open
My silence hurts so deep down
Internal tears I have so many

Never worry of my hearts silence
I will never hurt your heart
I will never hurt our friendship
Happiness and smiles is all you will see

That is why my heart must stay in silence
I will always hold my tears deep inside
My heart will hurt with the silence
My hearts silence is my pain and not yours
