"Under The Acorn Tree"

All the golden leafs have fallen,
It's time to rest our limbs
For time has taken a toll on youth
Under the Acorn Tree

Oh I never knew the golden leafs.
Would one day fall and die
While playing under the Acorn Tree
I always loved to lie.

I'd take the branches from it's ground.
And stride them in the woods.
For our horses, this is what we used.
To keep us all amused.

We had only the Acorn Tree.
To play among it's leafs.
We'd romp and run and do our thing.
Under the Acorn Tree.

It's acorns were our supper,
And I't's branches were our ride.
And all It's leafs up toward the sky.
Is where we'd hide for cover.

Now just like all it's golden leafs.
It's time to rest my limbs.
For time has taken a toll of youth.
Under this Acorn Tree.
