PECAN TASSIES
CRUST:
1/2 cup of butter
1 package 3 ounces cream cheese
1 cup flour
FILLING:
2 tablespoons butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cup chopped pecans
Crust: Beat butter and cream cheese until smooth. Add flour, mix to form a soft dough, add 1 teaspoon to 1 tablespoon of powdered sugar to sweeten. Chill at least one hour. Preheat over to 350. Place walnut sized balls of dough into mini muffin pans. Dredge the mini tart shaper in powdered sugar and press each ball of dough to form a cup. If you dont have a tart shaper just use your fingers to press up the sides of the mini muffin pans.
Filling: Mix all ingredients well. Fill each unbaked tart. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until brown. Dust tops with powdered sugar when cool. 30 Tarts.
