• We are the Locklairs. Welcome to all our friends(old and new). We would like to use this page to keep you informed about our lives.
• Faith has gotten so big. She is two now and loves "Beauty and the Beast", "Finding Nemo", and "Aristocrats"! She loves singing and reading her Bible and going to Bible class and gospel meetings. She competes with Andrew for "computer time" and can often be heard down the hall, "Bubba, it's my turn for ten minutes." and "Bubba, did you hear me?" She loves playing "Letters and Numbers", "Reader Rabbit Toddler" and "Little Bear Toddler" ... she likes to "do it myself".
• We are continuing to homeschool Andrew (who will soon be 12). This year we are doing 6th - 8th grade curriculum. He still likes to read. Some of his favorite books are Hardy Boys, books by Matthew Christopher, and Hank the Cow Dog. He still loves the computer, playstation and things like that. He is a great helper with Faith (most of the time)who loves playing with him! He likes the Tampa Bay Bucs, the Houston Astros and the Texas Rangers. • We have been with the Highway 290 church of Christ in Brenham, TX for about a year and a half now. Things are going well with the congregation here. If you are in our area, we meet on the southside of Hwy 290 near the intersection of 290 and 577, right next door to the pawn shop.

• Bettye's arthritis has calmed down a lot.. (I rub her feet!) She stays busy with homeschooling our handsome son and taking care of our darling daughter. For more about Bettye's interest, click here!
• Steve is keeping busy preaching and teaching bible classes. Steve had a good trip to the Philippines in 1999 and would love to go back again ... not for the vacation. It was HOT!!!! and the whole 32 days they were there, he only got 4 real showers! But he loves the work and has a strong concern for the people. For more about Steve's interests, click here!
• Brenham is located in Washington County, the birthplace of Texas. Brenham is the home to Blue Bell ice cream ... our favorite is "Chocolate Covered Cherries", but it only comes out once a year and is sometimes hard to find! A close second is "Heart of America" which is made especially for the St. Louis, MO area ... but we can get it locally at the HEB store. And NO ... we DON'T get it any cheaper!!! Come visit ... for $3 you can see the ice cream in production! MARCH and APRIL are our favorite time around here as the fields are full of bluebonnets and indian paintbrushes!!!
  Being between Houston, Austin, and College Station has given us many opportunities! The last year has included trips to the state capital, the NFL Experience, the All-Star Fanfest, the Museum of Natural Science, and the George Bush Presidntial Library.
