Comments: Wonderful photos, looks like you had gorgeous weather. I was so excited to find this webpage. I have read all the Laura Ingalls Wilder books staring at 10 years of age and I still re-read them from time to time (I'm 49 now!) I would love to visit all the sites especially DeSmet and Mansfield. My parents travelled extensively and brought me back books from the bookstores at some of the houses. These include "A Little House Sampler" a collection of early stories and reminiscences of Laura and Rose and "Little House in the Ozarks" rediscovered writings of Laura as a local journalist. Comments: I'm wondering if someone might be able to help me I have a picture that is 8x10 it is of Laura Ingalls Wilder and Almanzo Wilder and in the corner of the picture is a clock a little one. In the face of the clock says Gibson Photo Jewelry Co. On the rim of the picture says Grandeur of the Hills. Then there is some numbers 331-7. We have four antique stores here where i live and all of them told me that it was at least 100 years old. I can describe that picture to you. It looks to be painted on tin and to th side there is a small cabin by six trees and next to a creek. I remember reading in one of her books she says that she painted pictures on tin for her sister carrie because Carrie was only used to seeing the prairie. The Minnesota Historical Society veri ied that it was them. I was wondering if someone might be avle to give me a value on it or know someome who can. I know that it is worth alot. I might want to sell it sometime. The research has been fun. but I'm not quite done yet. I'm not sure where this is going or who to I have wrote to so many people so who knows i might have wrote to you already. So please get back to me as soon as you can. jami

I am now 43 and reading the first book to my 7 year old daughter.
