John W. Sisk
(my great grandfather)
(wrote for his father in law in a post card)
They knocked at the door of the Wayside Inn
The Innkeeper came and said, "No room within"
They turned aside so weary and worn
They needed a place for Jesus to be born
At a barn nearby, the farmer let them stay
The animals were freindly, so they slept on the hay
Christ Jesus was born in the manger that night
A Star in the East started to shine so bright
The Three Wise Men came with jewels so rare
To give to the Christ Child so tender and fair
Joseph and Mary were proud of thier son
They knew in thier hearts he was a Holy One
