Hi! Welcome to my homepage!
Four Generations of Poets

I love you

I loved the hour
In first we met
I loved you then
I loved you yet
The thing I ask
Forget me not
And you will
Never be forgot

John W. Sisk

(my great grandfather)
(wrote for his father in law in a post card)

The Christ Child

The night Christ Jesus was born in the hay
Joseph and Mary had traveled a mighty long way

They knocked at the door of the Wayside Inn
The Innkeeper came and said, "No room within"

They turned aside so weary and worn
They needed a place for Jesus to be born

At a barn nearby, the farmer let them stay
The animals were freindly, so they slept on the hay

Christ Jesus was born in the manger that night
A Star in the East started to shine so bright

The Three Wise Men came with jewels so rare
To give to the Christ Child so tender and fair

Joseph and Mary were proud of thier son
They knew in thier hearts he was a Holy One

Daddy....

Deep in our hearts you will always stay
Loved and remembered day by day
This day comes back with sad regrets
It brings back a day we will never forget
Tears in our eyes we can wipe away
But the ache in our hearts is there to stay
They say time heals all sorrows
And helps us to forget
But so far time has proven
How much we miss you yet
What it meant to love and lose you
No one will ever know
To some you may be forgotten
To others a part of thier past
But to a family who dearly loves you
Your memory will forever last

Grandma Dear

We all still want you near. You are so much loved, but now you are above.....
You were beautiful, so graceful, so dearly loved....
I did not know what to do when you left us down here alone....
I wanted to tell you once again that I loved you.....
Grandma Dear......
Sometimes I want to cry, thinking you will come back, but I know it won't be
I love you Grandma Dear.....
and I will always, and forever miss and love you so much
Grandma Dear......
I love you so very much, it hurts. I know you are out of your pain, and I'm happy you are with God......
